It feels great to have so many former staff members give me a final push for the Community Grand Marshal voting that ends February 29th. Here is their message and I'd be honored to have your help.
Dear Friends of Bevan,
This Saturday, February 27th will be Bevan's 61st birthday. We represent former staff members and colleagues over more than 20 years, and we are proud of Bevan's achievements in City government.
We've come together to ask you to take a minute to visit sfpride.org/vote and cast a vote for Bevan to be among three Community Grand Marshals for this June's San Francisco Pride celebration. Voting closes next Monday, February 29th.
LGBTs and allies from everywhere are eligible to vote. As long as you have an e-mail, you can cast one ballot for the Grand Marshal candidates (even Sid got to vote, there is no age requirement!).
Bevan has set the highest standard for public service, whether as Director of Neighborhood Services, City Supervisor or leading HOPE helping San Francisco's homeless individuals and families.
If you know Bevan, you know how much he loves the Pride Parade, organizing floats, music and fun. He has also championed Family Builders, through his floats, to promote adoption of children out of foster care.
This June will mark Bevan's 40th year in public service and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than at San Francisco Pride. Thanks for taking a minute to cast your vote at sfpride.org/vote.
