Dear Supporters:
I've taken a few days to reflect on the election, catch some sleep and just savor the routine — taking Sid to school and soccer, going to the gym and running through Golden Gate Park to the Ocean.
I am grateful to each and every donor, supporter, volunteer, campaign staff member and consultant.
We worked hard, had fun and stayed positive.
Dear Friends:
The Elections Department has released results showing that Mayor Edwin Lee will win this race, after accruing 2nd and 3rd place votes, with an expected total of around 62% of the vote.
I finish this race with incredible gratitude to my campaign family, volunteers and everyone we touched over the course of this election.
We were relentlessly positive, adapted to change throughout the campaign, and addressed issues with new ideas and core beliefs.
Ed Lee has been a colleague and friend. I congratulate him.
I love this City with all my heart. Running for Mayor has allowed me to experience the greatness of our people. Thank you.

We recommend Bevan Dufty as voters' first choice on Election Day. Dufty, who is gay, served two terms as District 8 supervisor and ran the Office of Neighborhood Services under former Mayor Willie Brown, and knows how San Francisco works. He's developed city budgets and knows that most residents care about their neighborhoods – streets, Muni, the homeless, parks, and preserving the unique character that is San Francisco.
